Day 83 – Kununarra to El Questro - Gibb River Road– sunny 29

Here we go
The start of our Gibb River Road Experience begins.

We didn’t plan to drive this 4WD road but reports say that the road has just been graded and should be OK. We stopped at the intersection, Glenn put the tyre pressures down to 24 PSI.

The road wasn’t that bad and we made it into El Questro minus a CB aerial.
It was lucky we checked in early, they were able to offer us a private camp, which I didn’t know about. There are 26 camps all up, all about 5 acres with river frontage, unfortunately you wouldn’t swim in the river because of the crocs.

A rare family photo
We setup camp and ventured back to Emma Gorge and did the 3.4km walk, it was breath taking and so was the freshness of the water. We all got in and then enjoyed the thermal pool on the edge of the cliff which is like a bath.
Glenn just can't seem to shake that thing off his back.
