For a extremely touristy area the park isn’t that great.
Sure the amenities are clean the pool is fantastic, but
the sites have little shade and in peak times we can’t
see this place to be a joy to be in. Alcohol of course is
priced out of everyone’s reach, but the IGA is
reasonably priced.

The 26 private camp sites are available if vacant. No ahead bookings are taken. The main is shaded and grassed and looked quite nice, there were 200 camping there when we arrived, so I don’t know what it would be like with 400 people. Our spot was posh, with 500m each side of us and down the driveway, with river frontage. There are no amenities at these spots but who cares, it was lovely.
Day 87 Ellenbrae Station – Ringer Camp

Day 92-93 Fitzroy Crossing Lodge and Caravan Park
Cost: $35 per night. Powered. Great shaded and grassed sites. Amenities are very good. Can be booked out very quickly especially by lunch time. The pool is crap, which you have to walk way too far for. The actual town didn’t really have anything to offer except for the Geike Gorge walk which wasn’t worth the effort.

If you have to go into the over flow area, do not be disappointed, this is just as good as the camp areas.
Day 112 Horse Creek Rest Area
