Day 11 - Wilpena Pound

The view was great but it was a bit chilly.

Our first bush walk was Wilpena Solar Power Station to warm at the legs, 500m.

Rock Art

Then to Rawsley Park to check out the Caravan Park, on the way back we found a few walks.
We went on the Ferntree Falls walk, 4.8km return. The kids did well and it was a fairly easy stroll.

Day 10 - Burra to Wilpena Pound Flinders Ranges

Ready for the Mailman

Paige is posting her first letter to Kinda in Burra.

All Aboard

Lunch at Peterborough.

We travelled a bit longer today than we planned, to get to the Flinders Ranges a day early, because of the day we lost going to Adelaide.

After setting up and trying to prepare dinner,
Glenn found it amusing to sit back and let a kangaroo double punch me for some bread laying on the bench.
He was too busy scrambling with laughter to get his camera, than to help his wife who was being mauled by the wildlife.
Suffer he was too late.

Levi gives the Roo a treat for beating up Mum!

Day 9 - Renmark to Burra

Happy campers
In 12 hours these kids were like life long buddy's.
Isabella, Florence and family had set up camp next to us the night before.
In a matter of moments they were playing soccer, blowing bubbles and chasing each other around.
The four of them set up camp on our bed and watched Madagascar.
This morning the girls came for hot chocolate and then changed camps to have porridge. By 8.30am we were in the car on the way to Burra.
How easy it is to make friends when you're a kid.

 Burra Gorge Camp Ground

A beautiful spot where we found a little nook to set up in and
finally the kids got their marshmallows.

Yum

Went for a walk after tea looking for Roos

Day 8 - Renmark

Paige found some roo prints
A camping area by the river
Early morning bush walk just at the back of the Caravan Park, where we discovered some roo's and their paw prints, rabbits and birds.

'Lyrup National Park' took me by surprise.
From the main road it looked full of low shrubs and dusty.
But as you drove in and the closer to the Murry you got, it had some beautiful and even grassy areas to camp.

Day 7 - Renmark

Fun on the jumping pillow

Relaxing on the river bank

Catch me if you can!

All day we just hung around the caravan park, we thought we deserved to do nothing.

Day 6 - Mildura to Renmark

A family photo before heading off

Before leaving for Renmark we went to visit Nonu Grande and Mum and Dad.

Day 5 - Adelaide to Mildura

Ahoy there matey
Levi was fantastic in the hospital, this photo was taken while we waited for the doctor to give us the all clear and set us free!!

Day 4 - Mildura to Adelaide

On the border of Victoria and South Australia having a cuppa watching the sun come up.
This was Levi's last food and drink until late in the night.
We left for Adelaide Hospital at 5am to arrive at the around 9.30 am.When we got there we had to wait until around 3 o'clock in the arvo before Levi was seen to.He was amazing. He never asked for food once and only a drink a couple of times.
He was operated on at 8.30 at night. They removed the splinter and everything went well,Anna stayed at the hospital, Glenn went to a motel up the road, came back with dinner, then left for the night around 10.We were all exhausted
We had plenty of time waiting at the hospital to go to the park over the road and play.

Day 3 - Mildura

In the morning while changing Levi's nappy Glenn noticed something in his eye! After closer examination we saw that it was a splinter from the tip of a Yucca plant leaf. The day before we saw him go to the sink and try to wash his eyes with soap and water this made his eyes red so we didn't notice it that night. We just dried him up, called him crazy for putting soap in his eyes and sent him on his way.

After we found it that morning we took him to the Mildura Hospital where they tried to get it out with tweezers, no joy.

Levi and Grizzly in emergency, waiting for what would be a failed attempt of removing the splinter.

3/4 of the tip of the Yucca leaf would not budge.

We will have to go to Adelaide Women's Children's Hospital to have him operated on.

Day 2 - Mildura

Splashing in the pool.

Taking Levi for a ride.

   Pat and Joys house

Day 1 - Home to Mildura
