Day 64 – Kakadu Mardugal 2 to Jabiru - sunny 32

Nourilangie sure was impressive with its artwork and towering walls of rock. It needs to be walked early in the moring before the tour buses arrive, so you can take your time going through the aboriginal shelters and view the drawings.

Jabiru was an eye opener, now you would think a place that housed a billion dollar work force in Uranium Mining could afford a to have had a better town design. The place looks like the back of a factory at best, the tourists (us) have no idea how to get into the town let alone know where it is, and NO PUB.

But we are here now and have to use this as a base to travel to other areas in Kakadu and to recharge the batteries. The caravan park was green grassed and well shaded, it was a holiday resort oasis and the kids loved the pool. Glenn and I have seemed to acclimatised to the hot weather, at 32 degrees we thought it was too cold to swim.
