Our first morning of having to pack up in the rain which sucks, but couldn’t complain since we have had 41 days of beautiful weather.
Called into Daly Waters to check out the pub, the walls, ceiling, inside and outside full of Knick-Knacks people have left behind. Grizzly certainly had a great time here.
It was here that I realized that the waitress at Dunmarra had forgotten to give the $100 I took out on EPTPOS. PANIC. I rang the Roadhouse to see if they could credit me as we dreaded to drive back 45km to pick it up. The owner had no problems handing the $100 to one of the truck drivers resting at the Roadhouse, he then meet us at the Daly Waters intersection. ‘Git’ (that was his name) arrived in his ABC roadtrain and handed us the money. That’s the outback for you!
We arrived at Jalmaranka in Elsey National Park just after lunch, the camps weren’t that scenic. After setting up we took a drive to the thermal pools, now we are in heaven, we stayed for hours. You would think at 31 degrees outside, you wouldn’t be able to stand swimming in a 34 degree pool. It was magnificent.
