Day 49 – Nitmaluk National Park – overcast 33

Glenn taking the leap of faith.
We decided that we had been fairly slack with walking lately and decided to go and do the 8.4km stroll on the Windolf Track which ends at the South Waterhole.
We had thought we had lost Grizzly on the walking track on the way,  this guy was his saviour and found him abandoned.
Paige and Anna in Paradise.
The walk there wasn’t too bad, although Levi was extremely lazy today and didn’t walk a step. Arriving at the pool was like a mirage, it certainly wasn’t easy to get there, mainly because of the heat and the humidity.
Living on the edge.
Katherine Gorge.
The water crystal blue and thankfully croc free thanks to the rangers who remove them. We stayed for a long swim and lunch before heading back. At the visitor centre the notice board said it was 50 degrees at the gorge to. Holy Cow!
