Day 55 – Lichfield National Park – sunny 36

It was 9am and 28 degrees when we walked the Tolmer Track, the Scared Falls at the end were beautiful but the walk was average.

The Lost City

Buley Rockhole.

Wetlands near the Lost City.

Further down the road was the Lost City which was impressive, towers of rocks and boulders appearing like an ancient town. Buley Rockhole became our favourite spot for a swim, even if Wangi was open I don’t think we would have swam there. We had the privilege of seeing a monitor come for a swim with us and then jump back out of the water with a fish, it was posh.

We have decided to leave tomorrow and stay at Pine Creek to recharge the batteries, also cut short what would have been a long trip back to Katherine.
