Day 162 – Cape Le Grande – showers 16

Mum made a Bridge to Tarabith cubby for Paige and Levi at the front of our camp.

Our plans to walk Frenchman Peak were put to a halt because of the freezing winds and some rain, instead we went to the other beaches in the area. Firstly to Rosetta Bay, sheltered from the wind it was a more comfortable place to go for a walk, but the beach is full of seaweed.
Louis Armstrong belting out the tunes.
Then to Thistle Cove and Hellfire with its turquoise blue waters and rocky landscape and wind too cold to bare we headed back to camp.
This place is full of magical beaches.
The kids and I were quite happy to sit back watch a DVD and I crocheted, Glenn on the other hand took the chance to fish. He didn’t last long, so with a lull in the wind and rain he took his kayak named “Shark Bait” by Paige, into the ocean. Little did he know until later that there was a whale in the bay.
