Early start out to Monkey Mia for the dolphin feeding.

Slippery Suckers never mind
There were around 100 people that come out to watch and only a handful are chosen to feed them. Paige and Glenn are chosen, unreal.
The lady goes to pass the fish to Paige.
The fish slips out of the ladies hand before Paige could even touch it.
A little girls heart is broken. No second chances here even if it wasn’t your fault.

Thanks Paige
She was fine later after she realized how lucky she was to be so close to the dolphins, but she was shattered.
So the deal here is that you turn up in the morning around 7.40am and wait until the dolphins, if any, come to eat. Everyone stands around trying to listen to the lady talk and then a few volunteers come out with buckets, each with 5 fish. They then choose who can come and feed them. The whole thing lasts about 10mins, everyone then needs to walk away. The next feed is when more dolphins come in. This could be 10-30min or an hour later depending on the dolphins, this happens twice more before 12pm.
Or you could hire a Kayak and more often than not the dolphins will come for a swim with you with no-one else around, this is the best option,if its not to windy.

Paige having a whale of a time

Levi's got plenty of backbone
We went into Francois Peron National for morning tea, stopping at the Big Lagoon, we sooo should have camped in here but didn’t know if the camper would make it in.It would have, never mind. Large sheltered sites with toilets and gas bbq’s, we know for next time.

Another one saved off the road.
Found some more little friends.
The sand is soft but Glenn put the tyres down and we didn’t have a problem getting in or out of the National Park, not like a lot of others who got bogged. We drove up to Cape Peron where there was hundreds of cormarants on the beach, Glenn was amazed.

Now we know what the Loch Ness Monster is.
A quick look down at the Point before heading back down to Bottle Bay for a bbq lunch.

Worth the drive

Paige stand up
It is very pretty in here, but I am not sure how protected you are from the elements with only short shrubs around you.
The bouncy drive back seemed longer, especially for some in front of us who had to be towed out. Yep didn’t let the tyres down and just chewed up the ground for everyone else to get bogged. We took a alternate route back to the Homestead for another soak.
We had guests for the first time this evening, a couple Glenn had met on his whale shark tour. Cecelia and Rob came over for a cuppa, they have some amazing stories to tell, Cecelia loves a chat. ( Sorry darl had to add it in). It was great and the kids love their dog Buddy.
