Day 131 – Hamelin Poole to Denham – sunny 26

Raining Shells
After a cold nights sleep we arrived in Denham fairly early.
Stormy shells
Shell Cyclone
Calm Shells

We had stopped at Shell Beach for a shell fight which the kids thought was great and then to town to find a place to stay. Shark Bay C.P. was the only option left. It didn’t take us long to figure out that Denham was a dolphin hype town for tourism, not much else really happens here unless you want to spend money on tours. We investigated the Homestead in the National Park before heading out to Monkey Mia. Beautiful Beach, yes. Dolphins, yes. But other than that, you can fish and kayak, it is just a lazy beach to do nothing. Which by the way we had seen so much nicer further up North with a lot warmer water.

Shell Beach
We stuck around just enough to see Levi be attacked by a pelican.

He was trying to sneak up on them on the beach, this pelican wasn’t taking any shit.

The whole beach laughed and Levi’s pride was squashed.
Not for very long though.
Stalking the Pelicans
Finished the day back at the Homestead in the Artesian Hot Bath, it was a cool 40 degrees.
In the Artesian  Hot Tub
The kids were in heaven until we all started to dehydrate.
