Day 19 - Coober Pedy

The town was the same as the day before, except it is mainly filled with tourists today.

We had to take a look at Dog Fence, it runs from Queensland to Western Australia just shy of 5600km now to keep the dingos out.

Checked out the space ship from ’Pitch Black’ and the Opal Cave Shop.

Across the road was the first church built in Coober Pedy.

We had to look at Faye’s house one of the first pioneer women to arrive in Coober Pedy in 1962.

Now the look out!!!!

You have to see it to believe it.

Dont Ask, We Sure Didnt!
Ground Control To Major Tom!!
No better place on earth?

Apparently what you see above ground is 20% of the town, now that is why we had to go to the Caltex Servo to grab some lunch.

We did stop at ‘The Didgeridoo Cafe’…….they had no food only coffee, oh and no toilet.

The kids learning How To Make A BOMB!!!!!!

After our turmoil to be fed, we looked for jewels at Tim’s Mine, it was pretty good and the kids enjoyed it.
